Micheldenolf Ltd., founded in 1963, is one of Belgian's leading manufacturers of contemporay , reproduction and rustic household furniture in 100% massiv solid French oak.  It's an expanding, go-ahead company where skilful labourers carry on the traditons of the furniture trade. Micheldenolf Ltd. maintains a perfect balance between tradition and progress. This results in the most varied collection of models existing  of sideboards, cupboards, tables, chairs, writing-desks, book-and wallcases, upholstery, bedrooms..., which are carefully produced down to the finest detail. About the wood we use

We use massive French oakwood and in production we have consideration for the great variations in colour and grain. We buy our standing timber from mature woodlands in France, mainly in the centre of France.  The greatest care is taken over correct forestry procedures. We have our own saw-mill, where the timber is converted to our special requirements.   This timber is then airdried for many years according to the thickness of each plank.  Afterwards the timber dry 2 months in a special low temperature dry chamber to reduce further the moisture degree. Massive wood always works.  Our constructions are made with this in mind, if necessary we use frames and panels which allow the wood to work.

It's the finish that counts !

The beauty of each piece of furniture is the result of different colour and patina processes.  The final layer of varnish enhances the beautiful shade in gradatons of colour
